Kosinski is known for his novels ‘The Painted Bird’, ‘Being There’ and ‘Steps’, which was awarded the National Book Award in 1969. Suffering multiple illnesses and accusations of plagiarism, he committed suicide at age 57.
Rockefeller was a prominent member of the famous and wealthy Rockefeller family. He was elected Governor of New York throughout the 1960s and afterwards became the Vice-President of the United States under Gerald Ford between 1974-1977. He was an art collector who also became President of the Museum of Modern Art.
